I am constantly reminding myself to see every stage in life as just that, just a stage, not permanent.
Every phase of life is a season, not a stationary destination.
I try keep this perspective whether I’m in a good season or a bad one, because nothing this side of heaven is permanent. This perspective helps me not to cling too strongly to the sweet seasons, and enables me to take heart during the harder ones. Seeing life as seasons helps avoid disappointment when something good comes to pass, and it also grants us hope when things aren’t great.
If you are in the best place you’ve ever been, you feel excited to wake up every morning, you can’t think of a single thing you would change.. take caution because this too is just a season. Thank God continually for this season but know that it will not last forever, things will get harder, BUT… they’ll also get better again, even better than they are right now.
If you are in a cold and gray season, take heart. Know that each season is a gift, even the hard ones, and every season is neither deserved nor underserved. The place you're in right now is only a passage way to the next one and the next one and the next one all the way up to the final one, our home, His heaven.
There is only one guarantee that is constant through every season and every stage of life, and that is if you’re willing to look for it, you will find beauty in every season. It's just up to you to find it.
Whatever season you’re in right now know that it is a gift, and remember that whether it’s good or bad, it won’t last forever because God has something even sweeter in store.
