This city literally took my breath away. We only had 24 hours in London, but thanks to some amazing local friends and 'the tube' we managed to get around the whole city in a day! Buckingham palace, St. Pauls Cathedral, Big Ben, the London Eye, and many yummy food stops made for an incredible day. London is truly charming. I admire it's intricate detail and jaw-dropping architecture, however I also adore it's culture and quirks. My favorite stop out of all of the sites today was a small area called Camden. This was truly the oddest place I've ever been. Countless live musicians and bands creating raw music, plenty of people dressed in flamboyant costumes for no apparent reason, and endless market stands stacked side-by-side offering anything homemade or handmade. If someone has a passion to make something and they want to share it with others, they set up a stand in the already overcrowded alleys of Camden and add to the chaos. Churros and tapestries, leather and sushi, falafels and Arabian rugs, hammocks and curry are just a few of the oddities that can be found at Camden. The only way I can describe Camden is by saying that it makes absolutely no sense but it's filled with so much spirit, and that is why I loved it.
Grateful for the day I had in this fantastic city and the wonderful people I got to tour it with.
