name a more romantic way to leave your wedding reception... I’ll wait.......
emma + matt paddled away from their wedding straight into the sunset and it was pure magic.
I always tell couples to schedule in some alone time at their wedding. at some point in the day- take a step back together, away from all the guests, and soak it all in.
remember why everyone’s here.
remember all the time you spent planning.
remember all the reasons you love this person.
and remember that after the sun sets on this day, the real adventure begins.
2020 may be the year of cancellations, but intimate weddings & dreamy elopements will never be canceled.
this was the dreamiest night. it felt like we were in the middle of a Moroccan desert, but we were really just in our own backyard exploring a new corner of Michigan.
we had champagne and macaroons while watching the sunset, and it was so magical that I seriously forgot I was still in Michigan by the end of the night.
amidst covid and the restrictions it has put on destination weddings and elopements, let this be proof that you can get creative and still have an exotic, unique, unforgettable wedding right at home.
make it personal,
make it you,
and get freaking married.
marriage will never be canceled.

this weekend we sweated our butts off, got eaten alive by bugs, and nearly attacked by wild mice. all of these things could have been tragic, but we had so much fun!!
we drank summery craft beers, played music, and watched the most incredible sunset along the shores of Lake Michigan.
ashley + justin are my kind of people. they’re go with the flow, hilarious, adventurous and well-traveled. they also are one of the resilient couples that has had to plan their wedding amidst the covid pandemic.
their wedding is just a couple months away, they have no idea yet where it will be and what it will look like, but all they know is that they’ll be married & that’s what matters most!
their attitude and perspective is so inspiring, and however their wedding ends up happening I am so freaking excited to be a part of it!!! 89 more days!!!
who the heck says you only get to celebrate your marriage once?!!?!?! karis and jake have spent every summer together in maine with their families for years.
they got engaged in maine 4 years ago (and I captured their proposal!!), and today we celebrated their 3 year wedding anniversary in their favorite place.
a fresh picked bouquet of lupines, maine’s prettiest wildflower, we explored acadia national park and acted like it was their wedding day all over again.
yes, onlookers said ‘congratulations.’
yes, karis and jake said ‘thank you!’
your love story is too beautiful to only be captured once.
your marriage is for a lifetime, so it’s definitely worth celebrating over and over again.
my clients are pretty badass. there, I said it. water sports are a huge part of jacey + cameron’s relationship. they spend every summer on the lake together, and it was at this lake that cam asked jacey to be his forever. so it made perfect sense that we would take their engagement photos at the place that means the most to them, doing the thing they love most.
it was so much freaking fun, and I was I was half as cool as they are. thanks for taking me along for the ride!!!
on a foggy friday night these two eloped at the beach.
it wasn’t the wedding they planned on having. they had booked a brand new venue and were scheduled to be the first couple ever to get married there, but due to covid restrictions, they canceled their big wedding and headed to the beach.
it wasn’t the dress she thought she’d get married in, she found this one on facebook marketplace 48 hours prior.
it wasn’t the hair she thought she’d have done on her wedding day, she watched a youtube tutorial and did an updo herself.
nothing was as they had planned, but it was one of the most joy-filled, intimate, pure, Christ-centered celebrations of marriage I have ever witnessed.
as the fog rolled in they read their vows, with waves crashing behind them they shed quiet tears, they laughed and danced and shouted for joy, & they started off a lifelong marriage the best way possible: hand in hand standing before God and His creation.
weddings might be canceled, but love certainly is not.
"COVID affects a lot of things, but when you’re ready to get married- you gotta still get married. Eloping was so nice because it was just us, and those most close to us. God took care of the rest! We couldn’t have planned it better"

I had SO MUCH FUN with this candid, whimsical photo session frolicking through the countryside of Maine.
Maine is perfectly dreary in a dreamy way, and these two have such a sweet, giggly, simple love. They made my job easy!
Thanks so much for letting me capture a piece of your love story in a place that is so special to you guys.
Jordan Pond is one of the most serene, peaceful spots in all of Acadia National Park. Maine has a lot of hidden gems, and this is definitely one of them.
I followed these cuties around Jordan Pond on a cloudy, windy day, all very typical for Maine, and it was perfectly romantic and whimsical.
I had so much fun capturing their love in this sweet, sentimental location for them.
alison + emrah have been together for six years, through so many seasons and phases of life, and this was their first time ever getting professional photos taken together. they laughed and giggled their way through this engagement photo session, and they love & comfort that they've developed for each other other the past six years is illustrated in every image.
this adventurous, boho photo session took as all over Joshua Tree National Park from the mountains, to the cactus gardens, and across the desert. we explored and laughed and captured candid moments and amazing views. I love getting to discover new places with cute couples and capture memories!!
